The Co-Op, located at 11 Westbourne Road, Port Elizabeth Central, Gqeberha, is a collective of professional businesses practicing sustainable co-working. Co-working is a working space concept which enables creative freelancers and small businesses to foster new networks and collaborations in the same professional space. Visitors are exposed to all of our businesses and in so doing possibilities for ‘cross pollinating’ are created. Offices are traditionally very wasteful spaces but we believe in creating a sustainable, low environmental impact office space while still being able to offer a creative and productive place to work. Shifting away from the traditional South African business office model, we select tenants who share our mindset and want to contribute to this unique space.
