About this space
Ole Hagen Arkitekter is designing the white ocean liner for Karberghus, which is here for the first and for the time being the only time acting as client. Dark glass sections extend from floor to ceiling and allow daylight into the building's offices, and external concrete bridges can be walked on and give a view of the waters of the Øresund. The neo-modernist construction characterized by the distinctive maritime horizontal white bands is inspired by the 16-storey Huset ved Havnen, located just around the corner in Østbanegade; here, in 1960-1961, Hagen architects were behind one of the city's first decidedly skyscrapers, which remains an iconic part of the city's skyline, Domvs Portvs.
