Avaz Twist Tower is the third avant-garde building with which the "Avaz" company has beautified Sarajevo in six years. The architectural masterpiece of Faruk Kapidžić, and the construction venture of more than 200 construction and other companies from BiH and their thousands of workers - Avaz Twist Tower, is the tallest building in the region and one of the most spectacular buildings in all of Europe. The impressive tower with a total height of 175 meters, which has 32,000 square meters, was built in less than three years. It was opened in May 2009. Founded 30 meters below the surface of the earth, the Avaz Twist Tower carries 23,000 cubic meters of concrete and three million kilograms of iron. More than 10,000 light bulbs are installed inside the tower. The facade is assembled from more than 200,000 different parts, invisible from the attractive glass. The construction of such a spectacular building in the heart of Sarajevo is a reflection of a persistent effort to change the image of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to be an example and guide for other investors. At the same time, BiH architects, structural engineers, that is, constructors, as well as direct contractors, at Avaz Twist Tower showed that they are not far behind their colleagues whose results can be seen in New York, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai,... As such, Avaz Twist Tower, along with Baščaršija, has become an indispensable detail on the tourist map of Sarajevo and the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Namely, the special attraction of the tower is at the top of the tower. The viewpoint is reached by one of the fastest elevators in Europe, which go up to it at a speed of as much as five meters per second. From the top of the tower there is a magnificent view of Bosnia and Herzegovina. the capital. During the New Year's holidays, up to 10,000 tourists visited the viewpoint, that is, the Avaz Twist Tower. The "Avazov" tower was also included among the ten most beautiful buildings in the world as chosen by a special committee of the "Schuco" company, the world's largest manufacturer of glass and aluminum facades. By the way, more than 140 facilities from 70 countries applied for this prestigious award.
